'Salt Flat Flamingo' captures a quiet moment of reflection as a flamingo bends toward the water, surrounded by soft ripples and drifting foliage. Created from layered collage, painted papers and cut textures, the piece blends delicate feathered detail with gentle colour washes to evoke stillness, light and the calm rhythm of a waterside landscape.  I was lucky enough to see them each year as they migrated through Cesena in Italy and so I hoped to do them justice with this colourful collage.
